Job summary

University of California- Davis Health seeks a Sterile Processing Technician II PD to join the Perioperative Services team. The role focuses on cleaning, disinfecting, inspecting, sterilizing, and assembling instruments and equipment for surgical services.

Minimum qualifications include a CRCST or CSPDT certification, 2 years of sterile processing experience, and knowledge of AAMI and AORN practices. This is a 20% time, on-site per diem position located at the main hospital.

Qualifications

• CRCST from HSPA or CSPDT from CBSPD certification required.
• Maintain certification with CEUs and renewals.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2 years sterile processing experience in a similar setting.
• 6 months patient care experience.
• Experience handling hospital equipment.
• Knowledge of AAMI and AORN practices.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem solving.
• Ability to plan workflow and meet turnaround times.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to stress.
