Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year of experience with CS, OR instrumentation reprocessing or related area.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Requirement to complete Central Service Training within the specified timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of infection control principles and safety standards.
• Deliver and receive reusable instruments ensuring items are complete and undamaged.
• Disassemble, clean, disinfect and sterilize reusable instruments and medical devices.
• Reassemble, inspect and test multi-part devices for safety and function.
• Assemble, package, process and store medical supplies and equipment; distribute reprocessed products.
• Operate department equipment safely and monitor performance indicators.
• Perform sterilizer cycles and verify sterilization parameters; initiate recalls if unsafe.
