Children's of Alabama is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician at the Main Campus for the Evening Shift (2:30pm–11pm), Monday–Friday, full-time. You will perform decontamination, disinfection, sterilization and packaging of reusable surgical instruments, handling and storage of sterile supplies, and document activities to regulatory standards.
This role requires knowledge of microbiology, infection control, and inventory management systems.

Work schedule will be Full-time on the Evening Shift, Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-11pm.
Summary: Performs technical functions of reprocessing, decontamination, disinfection, preparation, packaging, sterilization and distribution of reusable medical instrumentation, and handling/storage of disposable sterile supplies and accurately documents in compliance with FDA, CDC, AAMI, and JCAHO. Operates large high vacuum steam sterilizers, Paracetic Acid sterililizers, and Hydorgen Peroxoide Plasma sterilizers. Utilizes computer software for inventory tracking, materials management, biological documentation, and the associated computer hardware. Act as resource for Operating Room and other health care professionals for various sterilization and instrument care methods.
Schedule: 1430 - 2300 M-F, Evening Shift, 8-Hour Shifts
