Job summary

MultiCare Auburn Medical Center is seeking a Central Service Technician to support the health care team by cleaning, sterilizing and packaging instruments, maintaining inventory and transporting supplies. The role requires teamwork, time management and prioritization under supervision in a routine setting.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, completed central service training and preferably CRCST certification or equivalent experience, with a goal to obtain central service

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of Central Service Technician course or healthcare training; military training acceptable for WA state.
• Nationally recognized certification (e.g., CRCST) preferred or 1 year recent sterile processing experience.
• Central Service Certification or commitment to obtain within one year of hire.
• Minimum of 1 year related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sterilize and package instruments for patient care.
• Maintain inventory and transport supplies and equipment as needed.
• Work as a cooperative team member under supervision and prioritize daily tasks.
• Interact with patient care providers, Materials Management staff and others as required.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Central Service Technician training

CRCST certification preferred

CS Certification or plan to obtain within 1 year

1+ year related experience preferred
