Job summary

MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital is seeking a Central Service Technician to support the health care team by cleaning, sterilizing, and packaging instruments, maintaining inventory, and transporting supplies and equipment. The role requires teamwork, organization and the ability to work under supervision in routine situations.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, completion of a central service program, and ideally CRCST certification or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of Central Service Technician course or healthcare organization training; military training acceptable for WA state employees.
• Nationally recognized certification (e.g., CRCST) and/or minimum 1 year recent sterile processing experience preferred.
• Central Service Certification or commitment to obtain within one year of hire, as required by location.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sterilize, and package instruments; maintain inventory.
• Transport supplies and equipment; support total health care team.
• Work under direct supervision; prioritize multiple tasks and stay organized.
