Job summary

MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital is seeking a Central Service Technician to clean, sterilize, package instruments, maintain inventory and transport supplies. You will be a cooperative team member under supervision, handling routine tasks with a strong service orientation.

Requirements include a high school graduate or equivalent, CS technician training or healthcare organization training, CRCST certification preferred, and a commitment to obtain within one year.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of Central Service Technician course of study or healthcare organization training; military training or experience acceptable per WA state.
• Nationally recognized certification (e.g., CRCST) and/or minimum of 1 year of sterile processing experience preferred.
• Central Service Certification or commitment to obtain within one year of hire, as required by location.
• Minimum one year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sterilize, and package instruments.
• Maintain inventory and transport supplies and equipment.
• Support the total health care team under direct supervision; handle routine duties with service orientation.
