Job summary

Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to prepare, clean, process and store surgical instruments for patient care. We will train you on policies and procedures; we provide work attire and a favorable schedule with pathways for career growth.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of medical terminology, strong phone and computer skills, and good communication. CRCST certification within 24 months is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in central processing or healthcare environment preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology; strong phone and computer skills; ability to navigate the internet and use handheld devices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all patient care and surgical supplies and instruments are inventoried, inspected, stored, distributed and reprocessed in a timely manner.
• Follow all standard operating procedures.
• Understand and follow infection prevention and control guidelines.
• Recognize potential processing errors and follow-up per procedures.
• Complete assigned tasks promptly and maintain workflow continuity.
• Utilize applicable inventory systems.
