Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a qualified Central Supply Technician to support sterile processing and instrument decontamination across operating rooms and clinical areas.

In this role, you will follow established procedures to clean, sterilize, assemble, and package instruments, manage inventory, and ensure safe handling of equipment, while complying with safety standards and documenting daily activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Registered Central Supply Technician Certification required.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Disassembles, cleans, sterilizes, reassembles and packages sterile supplies according to specifications and/or manufacturer instructions.
• Operates washers, sterilizers, ultrasonic machines, steam and ethylene oxide sterilizers, heat sealers, and other equipment; follows instrument count sheets.
• Covers and rotates trays per sterile storage guidelines and follows safety protocols to prevent injuries.
