Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to join the team in Akron. The role supports operating rooms by preparing and sterilizing instruments, maintaining strict sterility, and ensuring readiness of equipment for procedures.

You will work days from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays after training. This position offers training, growth, and patient-centered care in a renowned health system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CRCST or CBSPD certification required.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Demonstrated proficiency with instrumentation tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily assignments and maintain flexibility with shift changes.
• Prepare operating rooms by setting up instruments and supplies.
• Clean and assemble instruments and equipment after procedures.
• Operate sterilization equipment and perform sterility checks as required.
• Maintain inventory of instruments and supplies and support Sterile Processing duties.
