Job summary

University Hospitals in Mentor, Ohio is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician - Certified to join the UH Mentor Health Center team. This full-time, day-shift role supports the decontamination, sterilization, packaging and distribution of reusable patient care items.

You will work with the OR processing team, prepare instrument trays, and maintain PHI compliance. External candidates certified in sterile processing may receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Certified in sterile processing and able to perform decontamination, sterilization and packaging.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination procedure.
• Prepares reusable patient care items for sterilization.
• Sterilization using appropriate methods.
• Picks surgical case carts, stores and distributes equipment and supplies.
• Participates with the OR processing team and perioperative staff.
• Maintains PHI compliance and follows UH policies.
