Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician – Certified to join our central services team in Cleveland, OH. You will handle decontamination, sterilization, packaging and distribution of instrument trays for patient care, while supporting perioperative workflows.

An external candidate who is certified in sterile processing is eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus and full-time benefits. The role includes diverse shifts and a required training schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Sterile Processing program preferred.
• Experience in hospital central service decontamination preferred.
• Certification through CBSPD or IAHCSMM is required.

Responsibilities

• Picks, stores and distributes reusable patient care equipment and instrument trays.
• Participates as a productive member of the OR processing team.
• Maintains positive relationships with patients, customers and co-workers.
• Complies with department orientation documentation and policies.
