Job summary

Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital is seeking a full-time Sterile Processing Technician to ensure instruments and equipment are properly prepared and available for every procedure. You will decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize, store, and distribute surgical instrumentation and medical equipment with attention to quality and infection prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program, completion of a Surgical Technologist on-the-job training program, or current CRCST certification.
• At least one year of experience in an Operating Room, Sterile Processing Department, or related surgical environment.
• BLS certification (or obtained upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize, store and distribute surgical instrumentation and medical equipment.
• Perform sterilization processes, including autoclave and GI scope reprocessing; verify QA testing.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support inventory management and process improvement.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses and surgical technologists while upholding infection prevention, safety and patient care standards.
