IHA is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician in Pontiac, MI to decontaminate, clean, assemble, sterilize, store and distribute surgical instruments and supplies in accordance with infection control standards and departmental procedures.
Responsibilities include operating steam and gas plasma autoclaves, preparing case carts, maintaining inventory, and supporting OR setup while complying with AORN, Joint Commission, OSHA, and AAMI standards.

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, assembly, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies in accordance with established infection control standards and departmental procedures. This role supports safe, high-quality patient care by ensuring all supplies and instrumentation are prepared accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
