• Understand principles of sterilization.
• Wrap instruments/linen properly, while selecting correct supplies to be used for sterilization.
• Able to prioritize duties.
• Knowledge of sterilization equipment and processes they perform.
• Able to decontaminate surgical instrumentation and re-assemble into trays.

Experience Requirements

• 1-2 years Instrument Experience.
• 1-2 years Surgical Instrumentation Experience.
• Knowledge of regulatory protocols.

Education & Credential Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required or Certification Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) required.

License and Certification

• Driver's License – DMV.
• Certification Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) – CBSPD.
