Job summary

Baptist Health in Downtown Jacksonville is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support the Sterile Processing Department at Baptist Medical Center Downtown. This full-time evening position runs Monday through Friday from 3:00pm to 11:00pm.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of instrument experience and surgical instrumentation exposure, with CRCST or CSPDT certification. The role involves decontamination, wrapping, and tray preparation in a regulated facility.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years Instrument Experience.
• 1-2 years Surgical Instrumentation Experience.
• Linen Processing Experience.
• Knowledge of regulatory protocols.

Responsibilities

• Understand principles of sterilization.
• Wrap instruments/linen properly, while selecting correct supplies to be used for sterilization.
• Able to prioritize duties.
• Knowledge of sterilization equipment and processes.
• Able to decontaminate surgical instrumentation and re-assemble into trays.
