Job summary

Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to support our Sterile Processing Department. This is a full-time days shift position, Monday through Friday, ensuring instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and available for patient care.

Requirements include a High School Diploma and 1-2 years of Instrument Experience with 1-2 years of Surgical Instrumentation Experience.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years Instrument Experience.
• 1-2 years Surgical Instrumentation Experience.
• High School Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination and sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Inspect, assemble, and wrap instrument trays and linen for sterilization.
• Select appropriate supplies and sterilization methods.
• Operate sterilization equipment following established protocols.
• Prioritize workload while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
