Job summary

Baptist Medical Center South is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our Sterile Processing Department. This full-time days shift position offers a Monday through Friday schedule and an opportunity to contribute to patient care by ensuring instrument readiness.

You will perform decontamination and sterilization of instruments, inspect and assemble trays, and maintain strict adherence to sterilization protocols to ensure safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1-2 years instrument experience.
• 1-2 years surgical instrumentation experience.

Responsibilities

Baptist Medical Center South is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our Sterile Processing Department at our South campus. This is a full-time days shift position, working Monday through Friday..

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting surgical services by ensuring instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, assembled, and available for patient care.

As a Sterile Processing Tech, your responsibilities include:

• Perform decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment
• Inspect, assemble, and wrap instrument trays and linen for sterilization
• Select appropriate supplies and sterilization methods
• Operate sterilization equipment while following established protocols
• Demonstrate knowledge of sterilization principles and best practices
• Prioritize workload while maintaining accuracy and quality standards

ExperienceRequirements:

• 1-2 years Instrument Experience
• 1-2 years Surgical Instrumentation Experience
