Job summary

Lexington Health in Lexington, SC is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support the daily operations of decontamination, cleaning, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of instruments, trays, and equipment for the hospital and affiliate offices. You will prepare case carts, deliver supplies to the OR, and assist with restocking SPD inventory.

Qualifications

• Minimum education is a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills and aptitude required.
• Must obtain CBSPD-Technician from IAHCSMM or CBSPD from C.S.P.D.T within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Cleans instruments and supplies using accepted techniques.
• Prepares instruments and trays for sterilization and wraps correctly.
• Operates steam and Sterrad sterilizers and related equipment.
• Assembles instruments and supplies for OR procedures.
• Returns unused supplies to SPD inventory and restocks OR suites.
