Job summary

Berks Urologic Surgery Center (BUSC) is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. This part-time role focuses on the decontamination, cleaning, inspection, processing, assembly, and sterilization of instruments used in our surgical procedures.

The position is three days per week, Monday–Friday, with no weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements. Certification is required, and you will work with a collaborative surgical team to ensure all instruments are safe,

Qualifications

• Current Sterile Processing certification is required.
• Active certification must be maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, inspect, process, assemble and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Work closely with the clinical team to ensure instruments are safe, functional and ready for procedures.
• Maintain high standards of infection prevention and instrument processing.

Berks Urologic Surgery Center (BUSC) is looking for an experienced, certified Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. This is a critical behind-the-scenes role for someone who takes pride in doing things the right way, has exceptional attention to detail, and understands the important role Sterile Processing plays in delivering safe, high‑quality surgical care.

Our Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, inspection, processing, assembly, and sterilization of instruments, supplies, and equipment used in our surgical procedures. Working closely with our clinical team, you will ensure that instruments are safe, functional, properly prepared, and available when needed—setting our providers and nurses up for success with every patient and every procedure.
