Chestnut Surgery Center in Fresno, CA is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist with sterile processing experience to join our growing ASC team.

You will support urology and ophthalmology surgeries, ensure instruments are properly processed, maintain sterile technique, and uphold high standards of patient safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program is required.
• CST certification preferred.
• Sterile Processing experience preferred.
• Experience in urology and/or ophthalmology or ASC/hospital OR desired.
• Strong sterile technique and instrument handling.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Growing case volume and two specialized service lines.

Responsabilités

• Prepare operating rooms for surgery by setting up instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assist surgeons and nurses during urology and ophthalmology procedures, maintaining sterile technique.
• Perform sterile processing duties, including decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and storage of instruments.
• Monitor and maintain surgical instrument inventory and ensure equipment readiness.
• Document sterilization processes and biological monitoring per policy and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate closely with clinical and surgical staff to support workflow efficiency and patient safety.
• Participate in quality assurance and process improvement initiatives.

Position Summary

Chestnut Surgery Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Surgical Technologist with experience in sterile processing to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will support both urology and ophthalmology surgeries, ensure instruments are properly processed and maintained, and uphold the highest standards of sterile technique and surgical safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgery by setting up instruments, supplies, and equipment.

• Assist surgeons and nurses during urology and ophthalmology procedures, maintaining strict sterile technique.

• Perform sterile processing duties, including decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and storage of surgical instruments.

• Monitor and maintain surgical instrument inventory and ensure equipment readiness.

• Document sterilization processes and biological monitoring per policy and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate closely with clinical and surgical staff to support workflow efficiency and patient safety.

• Participate in quality assurance and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program required.

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.

• Sterile Processing experience preferred

• Previous ASC or hospital operating room experience in urology and/or ophthalmology desired.

• Strong understanding of sterile technique and instrument care.

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
