Job summary

The Surgical Institute of Reading is seeking a full-time Sterile Processing Technician responsible for maintaining and caring for all surgical instruments and preparing supplies for procedures.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or Equivalent, 1–2 years in sterile processing, and certification preferred; experience with sterilizers, OR instrumentation, medical terminology, and adaptability to changing patient needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years of Sterile Processing experience.
• Completion of a Sterile Processing Certification program is preferred.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and procedures.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing patient conditions.
