HCA Healthcare's Medical City Plano is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure sterile instruments are clean, sterilized, and ready for surgeries. You will work with nurses and surgeons to support safe, efficient procedures in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and teamwork, with evening or mid shifts and rotating weekends. This position is based at Medical City Plano, part of the HCA Healthcare network.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 1 year of sterile processing experience is highly preferred.
  • Evening Shift 2:30pm - 11:00pm, Mon - Fri (Rotating Weekend schedule)
  • Mid Shift 10:30am - 7:00pm, Mon - Fri (Rotating Weekend schedule)

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
  • Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care
  • Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs
  • Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized
  • Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
