Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN seeks a Weekend Days | Full-time Sterile Processing Technician to master the sterilization cycle, decontaminate, inspect, and assemble instrument sets, and manage inventory for case carts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
• Licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
• Central Service Tech credentialing preferred (HSPA CBSPD).

Responsibilities

• Master the full sterilization cycle by decontaminating, inspecting, and assembling complex instrument sets according to IFUs and QA standards.
• Own the inventory process by using tracking systems and count sheets to ensure every tray is 100% complete and ready for the case cart.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Preferred.
• Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) Preferred.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
