Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN seeks a Sterile Processing technician for full-time evenings. You will master the entire sterilization cycle, decontaminating, inspecting, and assembling instrument sets to QA standards, and manage the inventory to ensure every tray is complete and ready for the case cart.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Credential from Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or CBSPD required prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Master the full sterilization cycle by decontaminating, inspecting, and assembling complex instrument sets according to IFUs and QA standards.
• Own the inventory process by using tracking systems and count sheets to ensure every tray is 100% complete, functional, and ready for the case cart.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

One or more of the following Required:

• Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
