Job summary

Medical City Frisco is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure surgical instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and ready for procedures. You will follow safety standards, monitor cycles, and prepare instrument trays in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualified candidates have a High School/GED, CRCST or CSPDT certification, and at least 1 year of experience. The role offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive team dedicated to safe, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards.
  • Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to ensure safe, high-quality care.
  • Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs.
  • Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized.
  • Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth surgeries.

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empowers a team that’s committed to the care and improvement of human life – one surgery at a time.

Your responsibilities will include
  • Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
  • Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care
  • Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs
  • Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized
  • Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries
What qualifications you will need:
  • High School/GED
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Registered Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT)
  • 1 year of experience
