Job summary

Favorite Healthcare Staffing Inc. is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician for a leading hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. This is a full-time role with evening or night shifts available.

You’ll perform decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization, and cart setup to ensure quality sterile products for patient care, and you’ll follow procedures to complete decontamination and labeling accurately. The role requires strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of sterile processing or operating room surgical instrumentation tech experience.
• Hold active CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospital and affiliated facilities with sterile processed materials and equipment.
• Perform decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization procedures.
• Prepare surgical case carts and ensure accurate labeling for department distribution.
• Follow established procedures to ensure complete decontamination and proper workflow.

Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire

Setting: Inpatient - Sterile Processing / Central Service

Location: Arlington Heights, IL

Schedules Available:

• Evenings: Full-time, 40 hours/week, 3:00pm-11:30pm; rotating weekends and holidays required
• Nights: Full-time, 40 hours/week, 11:00pm-7:30am; rotating weekends and holidays required

Pay:

based on experience between $19.89 - $28.84/hr

Job Description:

• Provide the hospital and affiliated facilities with sterile processed materials and equipment
• Perform established procedures for decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization, and surgical case cart setup
• Ensure quality sterile products are available to support patient care
• Follow established procedures to ensure completion of the decontamination process
• Place sterile items in appropriate areas for distribution and ensure items are accurately labeled by department

Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of related experience: sterile processing or operating room surgical instrumentation tech experience or
• Hold active CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification in lieu of experience
