The CORE Institute is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician in Phoenix, AZ. You will decontaminate, sterilize, and assemble instrument trays, ensuring adherence to safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of Sterile Processing Technician experience preferred.
• National certification as Sterile Processing Technician / CRST / Surgical Instrument Processor or to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates and sterilizes instruments, medical supplies, and equipment, and assembles trays.
• Monitors wash solutions for quality and consistency in decontamination.
• Sorts mismatched instrument sets for timely processing.
• Restocks and inventories supplies and equipment.
• Maintains clean work areas and adheres to safety and infection control standards.
• Recognizes and communicates equipment malfunctions to ensure patient safety.
