Responsibilities

• Collect and decontaminate used instruments and equipment.
• Inspect and assemble instrument sets.
• Operate autoclaves and sterilization equipment safely.
• Maintain inventory and storage of sterile supplies.
• Follow infection control guidelines (AAMI, AORN, OSHA).
• Communicate effectively with surgical and nursing teams.
• Document sterilization cycles and quality checks.
• Assist with case cart assembly and distribution.
