Job summary

The Sterile Processing Technician at Saint Alphonsus Health System performs decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, sterilization and storage of reusable surgical instruments for the operating rooms, supporting high-quality patient care in Idaho and Oregon.

You'll join a team that serves both inpatient and outpatient surgical services, work 40 hours per week on day shifts, with weekend rotation, and have access to market-competitive pay, PTO, and day-one benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CRCST/CSPDT certification preferred.
• Prior hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, sterilization and storage of reusable surgical instrumentation.
• Operate sterilization equipment including cart washers, washer disinfectors, steam sterilizers and related appliances.
• Order and restock the surgery department with supplies and instruments.
• Maintain attention to detail and act as a quick learner.
• Pursue CRCST or CSPDT national certification.
