Qualifications

• Completed sterile processing program and/or certification.
• Two years of hands-on sterile processing experience.
• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterilization processes.
• Familiar with decontamination and sterilization equipment functions.
• Ability to exchange information factually and objectively.
• Willingness to take direction from multiple sources.
• Able to be flexible with task priorities and time schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform instrument decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, and sterilization.
• Work under the supervision of the OR Nurse Manager and the Charge Nurse for surgery systems.
