Qualifications

• Strong communication and manual dexterity for handling instruments.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness and sterility of work area, equipment and instruments.
• Operates equipment used in instrument sterilization and prepares items for sterilization.
• Monitors sterilization equipment, records test results and reports malfunctions.
• Compiles and files information pertaining to items received and processed.
• Organizes work activities to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Maintains inventory for supplies and transports instrument carts to destinations.
• Ensures timely and safe delivery of sterilized instruments to OR and other departments.
