Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure instruments are thoroughly cleaned, sterilized and ready for use in surgeries. You will work with nurses and surgeons to support safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities include executing sterilization cycles, preparing trays, and maintaining clean, organized workspaces while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• CRCST or CSPDT certification is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BLS/CPR certification within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, sterilize and organize surgical instruments and supplies.
• Monitor sterilization cycles, document results, and resolve issues promptly.
• Prepare instrument trays and organize surgical rooms per daily schedule.
• Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials; keep area clean.
• Collaborate with nurses and surgeons to support efficient surgeries; schedule: Fri, Sat, Sun 7:00am–7:00pm.
