Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to clean, decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments, ensuring quality and safety. The role includes preparing case carts, stocking instruments, and supporting clinical instrument rounds in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities extend to operating washers, verifying cycle parameters, and documenting results. The candidate will learn IFUs and instrument tracking systems, with opportunities for onboarding new partners

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to follow procedures accurately and maintain confidentiality.
Demonstrated problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and package surgical instruments.
Operate sterilization and cleaning equipment and document quality checks.
Prepare case carts and assist with inventory and rounds.
Respond to requests for supplies and instruments in a professional manner.
Learn IFUs and instrument tracking systems, and assist onboarding of new partners.
