Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis- Surgery Center seeks a Sterile Processing Instrument Technician to clean, inspect and assemble instruments for decontamination, processing and sterilization. You will maintain logs in computer systems and prioritize work while following SOPs.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 4 months hands-on Sterile Processing experience; CRCST/CSPDT certification is preferred. Mercy offers strong benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 months experience in Sterile Processing or 400 hours of hands-on experience.
• CRCST or CSPDT Certification through IAHCSMM or CBSPD.
• Must wear PPE and interact with staff across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Clean instruments and equipment for Decontamination, Processing, High Level Disinfection or Sterilization.
• Inspect, function test and assemble instruments for sterilization.
• Maintain required documentation on logs or computer systems.
• Prioritize instrumentation for processing and assist with dispatch.
