Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician at Advocate Sherman Hospital for the Sterile Processing Services department. The role is full-time with a PM shift and rotation requirements.

Responsibilities include decontamination, sterilization, inventory management, and coordination with care teams. CRCST certification within 18 months is required or in progress; high school diploma is required; 40-hour work week with weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• 1 year sterile processing or related experience.
• CRCST certification (or equivalent) within 18 months of hire.
• Healthcare experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate patient care equipment following established procedures.
• Sterilize and monitor sterilizers daily and record results.
• Assemble general instrument sets and packs for sterilization.
• Store and distribute sterile items; maintain FIFO inventory.
• Communicate effectively with team and follow directions.
• Keep work areas clean and organized at all times.
