Job summary

Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician in the Sterile Processing Department. This per diem role covers days with hours 8:00am-4:30pm, providing sterile processed materials and equipment to the hospital and affiliated facilities.

The position requires a GED and preferably CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification, plus two years of sterile processing or OR experience to support surgical instrumentation and patient care. Competitive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• GED/High School equivalency required.
• Two years of sterile processing or operating room experience preferred.
• CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospital and affiliated facilities with sterile processed materials and equipment.
• Execute decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization and case cart setup to ensure patient safety.
• Follow procedures to ensure decontamination completion and accuracy of labeling by department.
• Place sterile items in appropriate areas for distribution and labeling.
