The Sterile Processing Tech at Rochester Regional Health in Gouverneur, NY prepares, sterilizes and distributes sterile instrumentation for the OR and other areas, ensuring patient and staff safety. You will follow the direction of the Central Supply Supervisor and work with a per diem, variable schedule.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, CBSPD or CRCST certification, and BLS. The role is union-affiliated with 1199 SEIU (GH).

Formación

• High School Diploma required.
• Certification by CBSPD or CRCST required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Decontamination, preparation, sterilization and distribution of sterile instrumentation to the OR and other areas.
• Maintain and control sterile and non-sterile supplies and identify/remedy equipment issues while keeping records.
• Work independently and make decisions regarding work flow and priorities.
• Schedule nursing staff and meet deadlines for reviews and postings.
