Children’s Hospital of Orange County in California seeks a Sterile Processing Technician responsible for decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of medical supplies. This per diem role includes maintaining sterilization logs and providing excellent customer service.
Candidates should have a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and strong knowledge of sterilization standards. The role demands a medium to high energy level and includes various physical activities.
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for a variety of duties in relation to decontamination, preparation/assembly, sterilization, and distribution of trays and sets, case arts, and equipment. The role maintains sterilization logs, instrument tracking system, and supply inventory in the sterile processing department, performs routine cleaning and preventative maintenance of department equipment, and participates in the distribution of supplies to customers while maintaining excellent customer service.
Minimum $23.00; Midpoint $23.00; Maximum $24.00, determined by factors including experience, education, and position requirements.
Per diem, day shift schedule of 0600-1430. Flexibility to work weekdays (Monday – Friday).
