CHOC Children's in Orange, California, seeks a Sterile Processing Technician Lead responsible for overseeing decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of medical equipment during assigned evening shifts.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in Sterile Processing and must be certified within six months of hire. Duties include managing staff, maintaining logs, and ensuring excellent customer service. Full-time position working four 10-hour shifts per week.

The Sterile Processing Technician Lead performs and monitors a variety of duties in relation to decontamination, preparation/assembly, sterilization, and distribution of trays and sets, case carts, equipment, maintains sterilization logs, instrument tracking system and supply inventory in the sterile processing unit without direct supervision. Performs routine cleaning and preventative maintenance of department equipment. Participates in and monitors distribution of supplies to customers while maintaining excellent customer service. Responsible for managing shifts and staff on that shift. Participates in performance evaluations for staff.

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
This is a full time position that will work 4, 10hr shifts per week supporting the evening shift (12pm - 10:30pm).
