Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to support infection control across our surgical services. You will prepare, clean, decontaminate, sterilize, and distribute medical instruments for OR, Labor & Delivery, and other critical areas.

The role requires sterile processing experience, a high school diploma or GED, and CRCST certification within six months, with a 2nd shift, 40-hour work week and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CRCST/CBSPD Certification required within 6 months of employment.
• Completion of a sterile processing course or CRCST exam preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, inspects and assembles surgical instruments and endoscopes for sterilization.
• Collects, cleans, disinfects and distributes patient care equipment and instruments.
• Assists in orientation and training of new hires.
• Operates and documents results of sterilization equipment.
• Delivers and inventories sterile equipment for OR/L&D and other areas.
• Transports soiled and sterile instrumentation between facilities.
