USPI Arizona Specialty Hospital is currently hiring a Full-Time Sterile Processing Technician. The role focuses on sterilization of instruments, equipment maintenance, and accurate documentation within a fast-paced OR environment. Strong SPD background and BLS are required.

You will coordinate AMI standards, ensure autoclave operation, maintain supplies, and uphold infection control practices while supporting OR efficiency and patient safety.

Qualifikationen

• High school graduate; BLS certification required.
• Must obtain and maintain AZSH certification within the first year of employment.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of OR instrumentation.
• Ability to set up operating room instrument tray.
• Familiar with steam/gravity sterilizer systems.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate and implement AMI standards for sterilization.
• Ensure instrument/supplies availability for cases.
• Maintain autoclaves and sterilization equipment.
• Maintain adequate supplies for sterilization processes.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation.
• Facilitate turnover times to promote OR efficiency.
• Follow all safety guidelines and PPE protocols.
• Assist with environmental hazard and infection control surveillance.
• Perform tests and logs for biological monitoring.
• Interact with staff and physicians appropriately.
• Serve as a resource to the health care team.
