Job summary

United Surgical Partners International Inc (USPI) is seeking a motivated Sterile Processing Technician to join our hospital team. You will care for and maintain all surgical instrumentation and prepare supplies for cases.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, computer skills, and familiarity with sterilizers; CRCST/CSPDT certification is preferred. Six months of experience is preferred; 2–3 years as Instrument Room Technician is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is preferred.
• Six months of experience preferred.
• 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician is a plus.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers is preferred.
• Knows operating room instrumentation.
• Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
• Understands operation of steam/gravity sterilizers.
• Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
• Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
• Must be an excellent team player and communicate effectively with staff, patients and physicians.
