Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician (Surgical Technologist) to deliver sterile processing support for the Surgery Department. You will select instrument sets, ensure cleanliness and sterilization, and aid in maintaining patient safety.

The role requires completion of a surgical technologist program or at least one year of OR scrub experience, knowledge of OR asepsis, and a current BLS certification (Central Supply Technician cert is a plus).

Qualifications

• Graduation from surgical technologist program or minimum of one year operating room scrub experience.
• Knowledge of handling instruments and proper setup for the OR.
• Tolerance for exposure to blood and tissue; adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Pick instrument sets and instrumentation based on the procedure and surgeon preferences.
• Scrub, gown, and glove self and team members for the procedure.
• Prepare and maintain sterile technique; ensure proper functioning of instruments.
• Count sponges and sharps with circulating nurse.
• Assist in training new personnel and restock supplies as needed.
