ARMStaffing is seeking a Surgical Technologist and Sterile Processing Technician to support the Surgery Department. You will assist in delivering care to surgical patients, maintain sterile technique, and prepare instruments and rooms for procedures.

The role requires a completed Surgical Technologist program or at least one year of OR scrub nursing, and a current BLS certification. Travel-friendly opportunity with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Surgical Technologist program or have at least 1 year OR scrub nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Central Supply Technician certification is a plus.
• Thorough knowledge of medical asepsis in the OR.
• Ability to handle numerous surgical instruments and maintain inventory.
• Ability to work under pressure and tolerate exposure to blood and tissue.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain surgical instrument sets for procedures.
• Scrub, gown, and glove all surgical team members.
• Drape patients and assist with tissue retraction and wound care.
• Maintain sterile technique and count sponges/sharps with Circulating Nurse.
• Prepare and clean the OR before and after procedures.
• Identify and preserve specimens.
• Assist with training of new personnel and manage inventory.
• Follow sterilization protocols for instruments.
• Monitor sterilization equipment and operate autoclaves.
