Job summary

Delray Medical Center in Delray Beach, FL seeks a Certified Sterile Processing Tech for the night shift to ensure sterile supplies for all surgical cases. You will perform cleaning, decontamination and sterilization, and prepare packs and instruments in Sterile Processing as directed, while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Eligible candidates should have a high school diploma, sterile processing training, and ideally one year of central sterilization experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent and completion of a sterile processing course or surgical technician program.
• Preferred: At least one year previous experience in central sterilization operations.
• Certification: Certified Central Service Technician certification or Certified Surgical Technician preferred; if not certified at time of hire, certification must be obtained within first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for processing incoming supplies and equipment.
• Performs cleaning, decontamination and sterilizing duties, prepares packs of supplies, prepares supplies for all surgery cases, linens, and instruments in Sterile Processing as directed.
• Must be extremely conscientious with regard to procedures and capable of working under pressure and interacting professionally with all departments.
