Job summary

TriasMD in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Per Diem Sterile Processing Tech to support our surgical center. You will assist in preparing the operating room, sterilizing instruments, handling supplies, and maintaining equipment for daily procedures.

Qualified candidates have prior sterile processing experience, certification in Sterile Processing, and a current BCLS certification. The role requires standing, lifting, and the ability to work a day shift on a per diem basis.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
• Certification in Sterile Processing required.
• Understanding of sterilization and high-level disinfection principles.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the preparation of the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Assist with skin preparations and with draping of patients
• Assists with care, preparation, maintenance, and after-care of sterile and un-sterile supplies and equipment.
• Removes drapes at the end of the procedure, cleanses the patients of prep solution, and applies dressing as needed.
• Clean and disinfect instruments and equipment after use
• Participate in sponge, instrument, and needle count with the circulating nurse.
• Assists with stocking, replenishing, and preparation of supplies.
• Checks updated schedule every morning and prepares room supplies and equipment
• Back up materials manager in placing orders for supplies and implants
