Great River Health Systems is seeking a Sterile Processing professional to decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and equipment with strict adherence to regulatory standards.

The role requires at least 1 year in instrument processing, completion of the Sterile Processing Technician National Exam within 24 months, and the ability to train others. On-site position with 8:00am–4:30pm hours and on-call weekend/holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of Sterile Processing Technician National Exam within 24 months of hire.
• One year in instrument processing field.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and quality control.
• Ability to train others in Sterile Processing.
• Familiarity with supply distribution in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination of instruments and equipment using appropriate methods and solutions.
• Operate and troubleshoot cleaning equipment.
• Handle biohazard materials safely and maintain cleanliness.
• Inspect, assemble, wrap, and label instruments.
• Document sterilization loads and perform biological tests.
• Store and distribute sterile supplies to customers promptly.
• Maintain inventory and monitor usage of surgical supplies.
• Serve as a resource to Sterile Processing customers.
