Job summary

Shriners Children’s is seeking a Full-Time Sterile Processing Tech to join our Surgical Services team in Portland, OR. The role entails maintaining a clean sterile processing environment, safely sterilizing instruments, and supporting inventory and equipment needs for CS and OR areas.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or GED and at least 2 years of sterile processing experience; CSPDT certification is preferred. This is an on-site position with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in sterile processing.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean sterile processing environment by proper attire and hygiene.
• Safely cleans, packages, assembles, sterilizes instruments and trays using aseptic technique.
• Operates, monitors and documents all cleaning/sterilizing equipment per manufacturer instructions in CS/OR.
• Maintains CS and Surgery inventory by frequent counting, ordering and restocking.
• Responds promptly to Surgery requests for items.
