Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Currently enrolled in a Sterile Processing certification program; certification must be obtained within 8 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean work environment following infection control requirements.
• Document sterilization loads and biological tests to verify process efficacy.
• Assemble, wrap, inspect, label, and package instruments for sterilization.
• Operate SPD equipment: steam sterilizers, plasma sterilizers, washer/disinfectors, ultrasonic cleaners, heat sealers.
• Track inventory and distribute sterile and non-sterile supplies to patient care areas.
