Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to receive, clean, sterilize and store surgical instruments and equipment. The role is 5 days per week, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with weekend on-call rotation.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, and one year of sterile processing experience is preferred; completion of a recognized Central Sterile Processing training program is also preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
• One year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician preferred.
• Successful completion of a recognized training program in Central Sterile Processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents required quality assurance testing and inspections.
• Cleans, disinfects, decontaminates, and sterilizes surgical instruments and equipment using appropriate methods and substances.
• Properly disposes of bio-hazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and supplies.
